The 'Christmas Special' here at Scrag Ends, unlike that of Dr. Who, doesn't appear to involve any snazzy new cybermen or a Victorian London Christmas.

You're no fun.

Reuben,

I don't do Christmas...although I was impressed by the King of the Cybermen last night. I also like the fact that the writers of Dr Who don't even attempt to explain away a 400 foot robot smashing its way through Victorian London nowadays and why history failed to record the event.

I too, dear friends, like things not being explained.
Homeopaths never explain why tincture of violet fixes a goat who has a stomach ache from eating a fence, and why should they.

Neither do they explain that they are not homophobic sociopaths, although some of them may well be.
There's probably a tinctur4e for that too.

Annie,

They also never explain how, if diluting a mixture of liquid and medicine over and over again makes the compound stronger, they can stand to drink water that originally had fish pooh in it.

Actually, Brian, the new blog I've launched does not require an email anymore. Feel free to comment.

Cheers Reuben, I'll have a ramble over there in a moment or two.

Well it should only take a billion drops! I used homeopathy for a cold once but by drop 15 I'd lose count and have to estimate...after a few days I went back to taking a swig cough syrup three times day.

Lala,

I recommend a hot toddy for a cold, 98% whisky, taken through a straw.

GAH!!! My last encounter with whiskey was not pretty. I stays away from the brown liquor!!

Lala,

Whisky, I'm afraid to say, will be my downfall...depending on how much I've drunk of it, of course.
