Nah...he's french so I doubt that somehow.
I'm not going to even pretend to get this. The only thing I know with the name Cloret is a mint (my dad always had them).

European culture. (Always a bit obscure at the best of times.) It'd take too long to explain (especially at this time in the morning when my brain's not fully awake) so I recommend that you Google 'Jean de Floret' and stick with the minty idea.
